KSP #2 – The Unmanned Program

In this post I’ll share with you, hypothetical readers, the progress of our Unmanned Program.
str-2-19With the new Stayputnik probe core, we are now able to completely control vessels remotely, this of course, implicitly means some advantages. First off, the safety of not exposing our crew to the dangers of space travel, the probes will be able to explore further without the need  of resources kerbonauts need, also to test out transfer trajectories, collect science data and scan remote planets.
There are some difficulties too, to send commands and remotely control probes will need a connection with the KSC, either directly or relayed by other antennas. This means all sort of complications could arise in practice, everything has to be carefully planned ahead of time with plenty margin for error.

KSP #1 – Taking off

ksp logoSo its time to take off with our Kerbal Space Program, with the set of mods listed on the previous post, this will be a log of missions starting of with career mode.
Please note though that, since I’m quite ahead on this game, I’m having to go back in memory lane to figure it all out. Luckily, I have dated saves that I can use to drawn back, also the Final Frontier mod, logs all actions taken by manned crew.

Kerbal Space Program #0 Introduction

ksp logoSo i wanted to get a series of post, storytelling my voyages through my current game, and maybe share some useful information, lets get to it.
This is the introduction post, I’ll be describing the mods I chose to use, with links to the respective forum pages. This is a pretty good selection of what I thought would enhance the game.

I tried to think of my own name for the space program, came up with KSA ( Kerbal Space Agency), KEA (Kerbal Exploration Agency), KST (Kerbal Star Trekking). Well, none of them seemed better than KSP, so I’ll stick with it. Made my own custom flag too, pretty much similar to what came with the game but worse looking :(, well at least its homemade. (spent 4 hours doing the flag :'( )

I’ve been busy with a lot of stuff lately and I’m terribly sorry for not giving this blog much attention, I do want to keep it active, post new stuff and even make videos. However, in the last weeks I’ve started playing Kerbal Space Program (KSP for short), a game I’ve been curious for quite some time, and it also meant I had to put aside a lot other stuff in real life. Get Banished working on Linux

sanp-banished-1 Hey there folks, I’ve finally got some time to show how to get this amazing village-building, sand-box strategy game, called Banished, working on Linux through wine( windows binary layer).As a quick start bonus I’ll share a screen cap of the game working with my awesome KDE system as canvas.
And just so you know, the game itself works alright, I’ve had only a few crashes. The only remaining issue is that sound is usually garbled, more info on this below.
